17th fia fia cooking--[Central Island-Vaitupu] Pumpkin Fried Noodles (17/05/2012)

           TODAY SPECIAL: Pumpkin Fried Noodles (8 Servings)         

           RECIPE

Ingredient
Condiment
350g pumpkin
Salt
200g pork
Black & white pepper
4-5 spring onion
Soy sauce
0.5 carrot
Corn flour
8-10 mushroom
Sugar
4 cloves of garlic

0.5 onion

1 bag of pasta

Broth

1.5L cool water













 


           

            DIRECTION:

1.     Cut the pork into strips, and marinate it with 1 clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 2 teaspoons of soy sauce, some sugar and corn flour for 20 minutes.
2.     Boil the pasta for 10 minutes, after boiling put the noodles into the cool water to make the noodles chewier.
3.     Soak the mushrooms for 15 minutes
4.     Peel the pumpkin and carrot, and cut into strips.
5.     Chop the 3 cloves of garlic finely, cut the onion and mushrooms into strips, and cut the spring onion.
6.     Quickly stir-fry the garlic, mushroom, onion, and the stem of spring onion.
7.     Add the pumpkin, carrot, and pork into the wok, season all ingredients with some salt, soy sauce, sugar, and broth, braise for 2-3 minutes.
8.     Put the noodles into the wok, stir-fry for a while to make it soak in the sauce.
9.     Sprinkle the leaves of spring onion before serving.

  • Prostate: They promote overall prostate health, apart from alleviating the problem of difficult urination that is associated with an enlarged prostate.
  • Mood: They comprise of L-tryptophan, a compound that has been found to be effective against depression.
  • Bone: They are believed to serve as a natural protector against osteoporosis.
  • Anti-inflammatory: They have been known to reduce inflammation, without causing the side effects of anti-inflammatory drugs.
  • Kidney: Studies have revealed that they help prevent calcium oxalate kidney stone formation.
